Stalker's CommuniGate Pro
Below are the instructions for setting up your new mail system.
Once your domain name is fully recognized, you should use mail.DOMAIN_NAME.COM for your Miva mailhost settings. You will also be able to enter the following sites:
Your usernames and passwords below were drawn from our old Imail servers. The one change you will see is a major improvement to the administrative and web mail interfaces. To access the new interfaces use either:
http://mail.YOUR_DOMAIN.COM:8010 - for admin functions,
http://mail.YOUR_DOMAIN.COM - for web mail functions.
When the login page appears, enter your administrator's username and the password:
Username: webmaster
Password: PASSWD_NEW
You are the webmaster and mail host administrator for your mail domain. Please do not change the account name "webmaster." This account is the default domain mailing address for your for announcements and information. The webmaster account allows full administrative capabilities.
To use the new mail system in Miva Merchant you need to change a Merchant administration setting -- please do this as soon as possible:
In Miva Merchant Administration go to:
Domain Settings > Site Configuration > Mail Server
and replace (mail.)cybrmall.net with mail.YOUR_DOMAIN.COM
Finally, we have set up one additional mail account for you:
Username: black-hole
Password: PASSWD_NEW
The black-hole account is the account location for all mail identified by our messaging system setermined to be spam. We suggest you simply use the web mail interface to view the messages that end up in this account since they will mostly be mail that clogs the internet. For more information on blocking mail or opening email please see SPAM, Black Holes and White Holes.
The following provides messaging system instructions that you may wish to review and retain.
Host Administrator functions
A domain administrator can use the WebAdmin interface to access the pages in the Accounts section, but the access is limited to that domain only. Domain Administrator Rights (all or some) can be granted to include:
1) The ability to add or delete or move; accounts, aliases, groups, forwarders, and mailing lists; and to modify the WebUser Interface files (i.e. HTML templates and graphic images) and;
2) Send Alert messages to domain users, administer other domains, have full direct access to all Mailboxes in all domain Accounts, and have full direct access to all Personal Web Sites in all domain Accounts.

Webmail functions
The CommuniGate Pro Server provides Web (HTTP/HTML) access to user accounts. The WebUser component allows users to read and compose messages and to perform account and mailbox management tasks using any Web browser. Even if you prefer a regular POP or IMAP mail client, the WebUser Interface can be used to access the features unavailable in some mailers, and it is completely customizable. For example, the WebUser interface can be used to specify Subscriptions and Access Control Lists for account mailboxes - the features many IMAP clients do not support yet.
Mail Client Set-up
We don't know what email client software you are using, but a summary of the specifics is below.
In the mail "Account" section, the key elements are: User: the full email address for the user (e.g., for the webmaster account, enter webmaster%YOUR_DOMAIN.COM.)
Password
The webmaster password is your ftp password. You (the webmaster) will set up the other users and passwords for your mail domain in the Stalker Host Administrator.
POP server
(you enter) mail.YOUR_DOMAIN.COM
SMTP server
(you enter) mail.YOUR_DOMAIN.COM; OPTIONAL: Check (or uncheck) the box that does DOES require Authentication.
Click SMTP "Settings" and make sure the box "use same as incoming mail" is checked too. If you are using T1, DSL, Cable Modem, or one of a VERY FEW dial-up ISPs, this SMTP setup should work fine. If you use a dial-up service (or any other service that blocks Port 25 access), see the next step.
SMTP Port Translation
Using advanced tab or advanced settings: Change the SMTP port from the default of 25 to port 8328. This setting will also work for your office computers.
On SPAM
The Internet is flooded with soliciting E-mail messages distributed to millions of E-mail addresses. These messages are known as "spam". Spammers fill your mailboxes with a huge amount of unwanted messages, not only overloading the Internet and your Server resources, but making mail retrieval very slow and difficult for you. To prevent unauthorized spam CybrHost employs the five following methods to filter offending email:
1. Blacklisted IP Addresses
2. DNS-based Blacklisting (Realtime Blackhole List - RBL)
a. MAPS DNS-based RBL
d. bl.spamcop.net
3. Blacklisting IP Domains
4. Banned Header Lines
5. Banned Body Lines
These methods nearly eliminate all spam flowing to you. Your spam is directed to your black-hole account.
